Today however, it is a vastly different game mode, but still suffers from one of the problems that presented itself early on in its lifespan. The problem I’m talking about is the massive gold rush that occurred near the end of , caused by the old daily gold bonus system, and heaps of inactive players that continued to pile up mountains of gold while still having the default dungeons. This lead to a massive surplus in gold availability, and caused Dungeons’ economy to get totally out of whack. It has become clear to me that this issue had to be tackled somehow, but it is difficult to attempt and reset the entire economy, without inevitably negatively impacting the gameplay of players who do play on Dungeons regularly, and without the shadow of a doubt deserve the gold they have earned so far. I have come up with the following system to try and bring back the natural progression curve the game was always intended to have. While I tried minimizing the impact this would have on existing players, it surely can’t be avoided at all.
